One other thing. NO painting your gun black if you're going to be using it at a war.

Nope not even then. From a distance the orange isn't all that obvious. It still looks like a real gun.

    Stick to bright colours.

Wow, I'm sorry i didn't realise the forum rules are that strict. In Fact i may just stop posting before i get myself banned, as i have shocking grammar and i have never been able to spell very well.
In reguards to colour scheme i was thinking some thing inspired from one of my other hobbies. Thank you all for your input.

Sorry, I'm tired, sore and just generally short on patience. The idea I have for my REV-6 is (if anyone plays Warhammer 40k) kind of auto/bolt piston inspired with the primary colour being a Maroon or dark red with a battle worn look and maybe some iconography, which I think would look sweet!

I'm Going to attack the NERF project this weekend maybe. Anyone have any tips for protecting the paint job once its done?

    Hey welcome.

Good pick with the maverick. Great little gun to get started with
They are very easy to mod. but warning dont go unscrewing all the internals at once...I did that to my cousins and almost stuffed it!

    The mods i did were

    Air restrictor removel
Putting 5 5cent pieces at the back of the spring<easy peasy

I did the exact same to my recon. I completly stuffed it up when i was trying to take out the clip lock it endend up all in peices but luckly my dad help me fix it i also oiled the spring for a more harder pull back which means harder hit he he he. I also took out the jam door so it is easier to stop the jaming but now it does not shoot sometimes but it is very effective.

Oiling the spring doesn't add range, Jack. You stretched it. Jack's Recon is, addmittedly, quite effective and accurate. (Considering its a Recon, it still wouldn't stand a chance against an unmodded/modded LS)

I'll be modding mine to play some NERF war, although i will probably end up modding and painting to have more of a cosplay kind of theme if you will.
I like to include my girlfriend and friends in my hobbies, as we are fairly active people so something else to run around playing, not acting our age is always fun.
Thanks for the tips on modding too.
