At the moment, I just wear cargo pants and cram 6-dart clips into the pockets. I can't figure out how to carry my spare 35-drum though. Any thoughts?

How do YOU carry your clips around at a nerf war?

So I've been struggling with my clips recently, and I was wondering how everyone else carries theirs around?
At the moment, I just wear cargo pants and cram 6-dart clips into the pockets. I can't figure out how to carry my spare 35-drum though. Any thoughts?

I grabbed a bandolier kit but i find the elastic straps too tight to be useful. they are tight enough that when pulling a clip out it will squeeze 1-2 darts out.
ammo pouch on a loose-slung belt works great.

I use a tactical vest to carry the four AT drums I've got. A 35 drum is a little harder to carry since obviously it's bulky. My recommendation is to purchase drop leg holster that looks like this...
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/SWAT-Component-Pouch-Molle-Drop-Leg-Pistol-Holster-BK-/280643950901?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4157aed935
If you look carefully there's that mini pouch next to the drop leg. You can put the Drum upside down and it sits in there very snug. phuonguyen has used this at a Nerf War and it doesn't fall off.
It can also fit a Scout or a minimised NiteFinder in the pistol holster bit.

Use the bandolier kit as a waist belt. If you plan to bang around a spare 35-drum, you could stick it in the LS's stock providing that you use one (I think you you do but I've forgotten).
Alternatively, do what I do and don't use blasters that utilise clips.

That's an interesting idea, I use the bandolier kit as it was designed to and is very unwieldy and almost impossible to use in a war, when clipped to a blaster. I am considering a Tac Vest like littlebro, to hold ammo and the bandolier strap to simply use as a rifle sling, which on its own, does work well.

I made a belt to hold my drums/clips. I have up to 2 drums on one hip (I have a gun on a sling resting at the other) and my clips are on the front. They're held in by straps which I can release and take them out. I also have slots for darts when I use non clip-system blasters.

I use a camo pouch to carry 8 six round clips and it can also carry 18 dart drums. (2+one six round clip)

I can stuff four 18 shot clips in my pants' pockets (two per pocket), I need to use a belt though so my pants don't fall down.
I've found that I don't need any more than that - even when I'm using a stampede. If I really needed more I could put a six shot in my back pocket and refill it every now and then. I would like to get a bandoleer as that would increase the amount I can Carry.
You could also look into getting a tac vest using the Amazon - Fishpond price match.

After posting earlier, I went online looking for Tac Vests, apart from the Nerf-branded vest, it's hard to find other vests, littlebro, where did you get yours from?

I was on ebay looking before Unknown made his post. One other question, what colour is your vest littlebro? Despite the fact, Black looks all very tacticool, I assume olive green is better suited to outdoor games and isn't as threatening to the public.

You could also try www.legear.com.au
Probably not as cheap as ebay, but heaps of quality tactical gear and accessories.
Without having been to a war - how could a black tac vest be threatening to the public?
I mean, I'd be more dubious of a heap of people running around in camo, than black vests...

Looked there before, but it was a bit out of my price range. I think I've found the right balance on eBay. Other than originating from Hong Kong, what do you all think?

I use a tac vest with a mag dump pouch. I have the drop leg holster that was linked before but it isn't very good for holding clips (great for gun, knife and phone though).

I going to use something like this to hold two 35 dart raider drums.

The one in my avatar is the one I hold to carry the 18 drums.
The one you want to buy you would have to put the AT drums upside down, believe me though, it's a very tight for 6 clips.

In other words, nay for the vest I found? That's fine, it's better knowing now rather than after I spend the 60 odd dollars.

What kind of vest are you looking for? The one you posted it up you can only fit six clips or AT drums upside down - although it will get in the way of your arm movement.
The one I got is in my avatar. $32. It can hold 2 six clips in each pouch snugly, or an AT drum or MS clip easily.

Ideally, I want a tacticool "full-cover" vest that I could use for Nerf wars but also possibly use at paintball, however this requirement is not crucial as I understand it would be hard to find a suitable vest to serve a dual purpose. I guess AT Drums aren't a must for me either, in the near future I plan to acquire a Stampede to use as my primary, with a 35 dart-raider drum to load into it initially and then carry the 18-dart mags that come with the Stampede in the vest.

I have a hunting vest, that would be able to have at LEAST 4 clips in the front pockets (2 in each) and it also has 8 holes for shotgun cartridges so it is fun to use buzz bee shells with it.
At actual nerf wars I tend to use my back pockets to hold 1 18 stampede clip each, one stampede clip in my LS, one 6-clip in the stock of the ls, 1 6 clip in each of my front pockets.
I use ammo very sparingly so in 2 hours at an actual war I would only use up 2 18 clips
Sometimes I use a Raider drum instead of the 18 clip, but that is rather bulky.

Yeah my vest is like pretty universal. Mines only a 'chest-rig' though, not an actual vest.
I'm pretty sure I can use this vest for paintballin', airsoftin' (if I ever go over seas for it), and nerfin'. It's basically can carry everything except for the 35 drum (in which I don't use).
If you want a suitable vest for using 18clips (stampede). I highly recommend this vest, ask heist about it, you can carry three in front and it's still extremely comfortable. It won't fall out as it..

The great thing about this vest is that, sure you can't close the cover flaps, but you can store those clips and still sprint and wont' fall out. You can hold up to four 18 clips in there (one part is in the back).
You know how the bandolier kit has those dart holders, you probably saw that they're extremely tight. Well, the shotgun shell holder on that vest is very snug, so your darts won't get damaged.
You can get those molle vests that are customizable here too...

That "SWAT airsoft vest" is growing on me, ~$55 with free post isnt bad.
Much like how we dont paint guns black for outdoor wars, do you think a black vest would be alright (my blasters will be all stock colours)

Well at Brisbane, SnowDragon wears a full BDU uniform with black vest and he uses stock coloured blasters. So I guess it would be fine? Just check with your organiser. You can also get that in olive green too.

Two options that tempt me:
Scott eVest, a load bearing vest with a cable management system.
Grab-it Pack, a drop leg holster system.

I have one. It fits 4 6 shot clips, so I assume it could carry two of the stampede 18-clips. It doesn't really fit anything else except pistols well...and I don't usually use it for clip storage as it usually houses my maverick or nite finder

I'm currently using a mixture of webbing parts bought from Platatac and ebay. The pouches for the clips have had the lids removed and an elastic retension string tied on to hold in the clips on the move (sort of like a shingle pouch). It fits 5X 18dart clips and 6X 6dart clips, but has room in the rear pouch could easily hold a 35dart drum. I use the long pouch on the left as a dump pouch for clips.
If I had an 18dart drum to use I'd probable place it in upside down in the shingle pouch and place the elastic to hold it in.

Currently using a bandolier and/or my haversack which fits my 35 drum and 3 18 clips with room to spare. Will stop using the bandolier once Fishpond decides to find my payment

Granted it's without my gloves, helmet, balaclava and goggles, but if I can get away with wearing this inside the freaking airport and on-board a freaking plane, you can get away with warring in like gear. Picture to go with LB05's post.

Got a closer-up, unobstructed shot of your tac vest and also tell me where you got it from?
EDIT: Also, I think it was your backyard war video I watched where you had a gun-mounted camera, mind explaining how you did that and what equipment you used? (To prevent cluttering this thread, you may want to consider PMing this answer to me)

It was just spy camera glasses. Not the gun cam. Pretty sure that's the one you were talking about with the HvZ.

Unless he means my video with the 'prodigy - invaders must die' soundtrack (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tvnSDZgqTYQ)
In which case I used a 'go pro HD' camera and dremeled out a recon flip site to fit the camera, that way it could be put on any nerf tac rail.
Otherwise the spy glasses that Phoung uses are great.

"how do YOU carry your clips around at a nerf war?"
Slave labor??
ON TOPic: I've kind of gone away from clip-system guns, something with a turret or speed-loader will do fine, it keeps you lighter, which means you can move around faster.
