"Ghetto" mods
Hey guys, I thought It would be an "interesting" idea to post your ghetto mods to improve your Nerf guns. For example I have recently adopted the "duct tape" method with my clips, which was heavily influenced by Black Ops and the Libya war. Post away.

Re: "Ghetto" mods
Great thread
Barrel wasn't staying in a coupler so I simply put a load of tape around it
Raider's various catch springs kept on pinging out, duct taped it
Duct taped an ice-cream box onto the side of my BBRFR. Looked ridiculus so I took it off.
There are a lot more but I have a severe case of CBF disease. Sorry.

Yeah I'm the same
I forgot my Maverick's slide reinforcement. I used an old buggered screw-driver, took off the handle, drilled through the slide on each side then slid it through and glued it.
It has never broken

Re: "Ghetto" mods
My Longshot
Plunger screw cap broke (awesome split from the screw bit to the center where the plunger goes). Electric tape works a dream.
Bore a screw to the point where I couldn't unscrew it, drilled a hole through it, took it out, unscrewed the bi-pod legs took a screw from there. Replaced. No more bi-pod though.
Paint chipped (black spray), good ol' sharpie!

Re: "Ghetto" mods
My basic BBB barrel. It's 17/32" brass, nested inside 9/16", nested inside 19/32", all glued together, wrapped in e-tape to tightly fit in the original barrel, and then the outside wrapped in e-tape to hold it in place. I CBF'd making a decent coupler for the time being until this thing has a huge spring in it and all the catches and plunger reinforced/replaced.

Re: "Ghetto" mods
Paper barrel on my BBUMB. No tape, curling edges and all.
It's only temporary until I can get some brass.

Re: "Ghetto" mods
Ghetto Paper Barrels Mk 1 and Mk 2. Mk 1 is superior as the shorter barrel is easier to load and gets similar if not higher ranges. 6 pumps on my unplugged BBUMB will shoot the paper off as well. It looks awesome, but then you have to get it back on again. 3 pumps loses about 10 feet, but you get to keep your barrel.
Mk 1
Mk 2
Bamf.
And yes, Mk2 was held together with bandaids. Cos I'm ghetto as you can get.

Re: "Ghetto" mods
Rough guess at at least 60ft. Rough as our longest tape measure is 8m long, so I just didn't bother.

Re: "Ghetto" mods
I've got a few more cheap as mods
[list][*]Rubber band on the reverse plunger of a reflex.
Rubber band on the reverse plunger of my Alpha Trooper
popsicle stick to provide a flat surface for the spring in my LSFG
took apart a Recon, I decided I needed a new barrel for my NF, so I decided to use the Recon's one.

Re: "Ghetto" mods
I bring forward my Ghetto ammunition holster "dandahdan"
After spying on a teabag box "lol" going to the bin I saved it and once I had cut and stuck enough cardboard and sticky tape to wrap around the world a few times I bring forward my ghetto holster.
Those are my intitials btw, it was meant to be green with clear but I ran out of clear tape on the previous layer so i had to use brown.
Reinforced cardboard walls the the teabox was weak just had the right shape.
Ugly but effective belt holster, reinforced with duct tape lol.
Name tag
On my belt :)) It fits 3x6 dart mags perfectly (I look like a tard in this photo)

Re: "Ghetto" mods
This is the most ghetto mod I've done - I ever stole it from something else!
2x Triple Shot stock. I bought 2 TS', I gave one to my friend for a trade, but I thought to keep the stock to myself, since he wouldn't know any better.
Step 1 - steal (stock and tape, if you don't have any)
Step 2 - tape
It's really helpful if I'm using a 20mm conduit barrel for whistler darts. If not it's just a nicer feeling stock. Yes I know the stock is only effective if you're my height or shorter (I'm 167cm)
