    Titan Maverick Empty Titan Maverick

Post  Mozart Sun May 15, 2011 4:18 pm

I bought this off Jacko, but it was in a seriously depressing state (no offence, mate!) It's now 40mm couplered for the shotgun attachment and 20mm conduit couplered. I use a 15" PETG barrel (not pictured) range is aboout from my front doorstep to really far up the street, so far that I worry I might hit someone because I can't see them. It blasts through pizza boxes, then dents the wall. Yeah, I'll have to fix those dents.. I plan to replace the pump, because this one sucks ballz, also may get another Maverick and use it's shell for this, because this shell is hacked all to hell. Think it may have been cut with tin shears or something. Trigger is now linked directly to the firing pin with beading wire, no slack. The trigger pull was a little hard, especially if you want accuracy, so I removed the extension spring that pulls the trigger back, it's now just relying on the spring in the Titan tank. It was actually holding the valve open, because the wire connecting the trigger was so tight, but with a bit of wiggling and what not, it came a tiny touch looser, so is now right on the edge. The pump is shit, I hate it. It takes about sixteen pumps until I'm confident the tank is full (as much as the OPRV will allow) because the OPRV makes a weird noise that's hard to distinguish. Hopefully get a ball pump or bike pump on it soon, my 4B takes four pumps to kick the OPRV in, I know the Titan has a bigger tank, but 4x the 4B is crap. Not sure what to do about some kind of sights, too, because the Maverick shell gets in the way of looking down the barrel and if you aim with the Maverick sights, you aim two inches too high. Would like to put a brass slide breech on it, will hopefull be able to do that when my parcel comes from Launceston tomorrow or the next day. I also moved it around and cut the shell to have the tubing on the right, because I'm left handed. I have now made an adapter out of 40mm PVC and a 20mm conduit coupler, so I can use 20mm Conduit barrels. I did have (as shown in the pictures) a piece of 40mm PVC with a 1' barrel permenantly stuck into it, which is uneeded now.

I plan to do a lot of cosmetic work, including a new shell, relocated pump tubing along with a new pump, a paint job. I may update this alltogether with a write up, in the future, because there's nothing like it in the directory.

well... depends on what you to do it man, since you're the owner now. Correct me if I'm wrong, but it looks singled at the moment, which is cool if you're after the range. And 16 pumps? That's a damn long time.

It's 40mm couplered. I have an attachment for a single barrel, I also have a four dart shotgun attachment. I think I may have done something wrong with that, though, it just doesn't seem to have the power I thought it would. Please keep in mind that I don't go to wars, so I dint give a rats if it's 'legal' or not, hahaa.

I plan to replace the pump, put it in a new shell, which I'll cut a lot nicer so the tank fits nice and snug. And a paint job. Bit of cosmetic work.

OPRV kicks in at eight pumps, I would be happy with pumping to ten. I lubed the pump o-ring, so it's a lot more efficient.

Thanks mate (: I have no idea! Hahaa. I expect.. Nope, no idea. Well over 100', probably 200'. It needs a lot of work, but it's a super fun blaster. Put an RSCB on it today, but it was my first RSCB and needs to be tweaked. Few misfires/double feeds.

I quite like how simple it looks, no random pipes poking out everywhere.

I've got all the stuff I need, perhaps I'll make one along with a write-up...

Love what you have done with it.
I should really have invested some more time and money into this one :P.

Thanks guys (: it actually is very simple. Pump - tank - coupler - barrel. Then trigger at the back. Easy to make, even though it had been started when I got it. I'll hopefully he able to get another Mav shell very soon and make it a lot cleaner/paint it.

Yeah, Jacko, i hear you man. I'm still stuck on my damn learners licence ): fortunately for my Nerfing career, I live in a City of backstabbing f*** heads. Hahaa, so I get a fair bit of free time at the moment.

Cheers guys, I'll keep it updated with any progress I make with it.

I would love a write up to this since I don't know much about pump guns.

Not taking anything away from Jacko and Mozart, but it's a fairly easy mod. Making it look sweet would be the hardest bit.

Cut Maverick to accommodate titan air tank and pump, connect air hose, connect tank piston to trigger, add coupler to tank, and fabricate preferred barrel.

Personally, I'd love to do a write-up on this. But, unfortunately, I've been trying to purchase a Titan tank on here for a month, with no success...
I do have a spare Maverick shell, if that counts!!

Wanna send me that Mav shell, clunk? I don't want to buy a new Mav, just to destroy it. Should have a nee one in the next few days (:

Yeah, this way is insanely simple and doesn't warrant a write up. I don't even have a new pump on it. So, cut shell for tank and pump tubing, line it up, stick it in, connect the trigger and add a coupler. It's so simple man, you'll figure it out on your own just by looking at pictures of mine.

Don't worry, it is soon to look a lot better!

I haven't finished, it's in pieces and I've only made one cut to the new shell. Still deciding where I want to cut, how I want the tank to go in.

Why do you want internal pictures..? It's just a bit of beading wire tied to the trigger and the tank release. Everything else is external.

ohk, that sounds simple enough because i'm doing the same thing with 5 different attachments for whatever i feel like and was wondering about the trigger. And to make it really good, im using a sonic Mav.
    Thanks Cody

Attaching the trigger is the easiest part. So damn simple, it's crazy. The shell is the hard part.

thanks for that because with my LongBUMB, the trigger was near impossible to attach because of the really high pressure holding the valve closed.
