Polycarb sheet - for LS Shotgun mod Empty Polycarb sheet - for LS Shotgun mod

Post  Melefanty Fri Jul 15, 2011 9:23 am

I bought a large sheet of polycarb for making a shotgun grip, and naturally there is a lot of excess, probably enough for 3-4 more shotgun grips.

So, i'm selling some sections of the sheet, each section will be large enough for 1 shotgun grip as per SGNerf's template.

Here is how to do the mod; http://modworks.blogspot.com/2010/05/nerf-longshot-mod-shotgun-grip.html

I'm selling the sheets for $10 each.

Pickup available at Alpha's Melb War in Wattle Park, Sunday July 24th.

It was about $55 for a large sheet of it, and I can make 4-5 shotgun grips out of it. I figure it made more sense to sell it than have it gather dust in my shed

Red; they didn't have 6mm. i just cut out the arms twice and fixed them together with epoxy. Just fitted my V2 LS spring, so once I have installed oznerfnerd's aluminium brackets them I will know if it works as well.

If you guys want really good grips, the grips from Shanghai's are awesome. Perfectly moulded grips, can get from hong kong for only $5 a handle.

I saw those when I was making my grip. I'm of the school that likes to build my own stuff rather than buy something that's essentially had all the work done. Just offering folks an alternative

I know exactly what you mean. I went to use mine and went, nope i'd rather do my own.

But like you said, just offering an alternative.

I'd probably be interested in a section of the polycarb mate, if I could get an estimated postage quote first.

    Postcode is 4717.

EDIT - Just re-read your first post mate. It's a long drive to Melbourne!! haha Postage would probably be a killer anyway.

    Cheers,

probably $2 or less at a rough guess, I can't see it being that much.

EDIT; it's fairly cheap because I can send it as a letter, not a parcel. I'll probably sell a couple at the war next weekend, but I should probably have one left if you decide you want one.

If it can fit the largest padded bag, should be around $6-8 to Queensland. Depends on the dimensions so you can try the Auspost Postage Calculator on their website.

It probably depends on how big the sheet is, as to what sort of package it would fit in.

If you'd be interested in mailing a section, I'd definitely be keen. We could work out a bit of a trade price with your order from myself. Providing you have some polycarb left over from the war.

BTW - Your breech is about 60% finished. Hoping to have it in the mail by the end of next week.

    Cheers,

I checked the postage quotes red, and even with max weight/dimensions for a letter bag, it only said $3.

clunk; Awesome, well I'll put one aside for now but not a strict obligation. Excited for the breach man! I just put on the aluminium brackets on my boltsled today, it's ready for the big stuff

Righto mate, then put me down as a definite. I'll round your order down to $60 including postage, if that works for you. (Works out to around $18 off original price.)

    Thanks again.

PMs received, I'll cut the sheets after work this afternoon. With any luck I should have clunk's sent out today.

dy88: Yes I can ship to Sydney. I'll let you know how much clunk's shipping was this afternoon and then you can decide.

    Cheers

I haven't PMed you yet dy88, patience grasshopper.
I'm sending out clunk's polycarb after work today, and I will let you know how much it costs.

    EDIT;

Ok sent it off today. The padded bag costs $2, and shipping to QLD was $6, so clunk07 was bang on the nose in terms of cost. I assume it will probably be similar, if not a dollar or two cheaper, to go to Syd?

Both sent off now, I have two more sheets left.

Shipping will now be a standard $8, as that's what it has been for both sheets sent thus far.

Polycarb sheet - for LS Shotgun mod Empty What size are the sheets?

Post  Maliuta Thu Sep 01, 2011 4:53 pm

What are the dimensions of the "sheets"?

I'm interested in some for a custom job I'm doing on my barricade (and some other little projects). Just not sure on how big a sheet you're offering.
