Hello Oznerf,
I have recently singled one of my longshots using plumbing fittings to give the bolt section an nice chrome finish.
I used:
about 20cm of 1/2 inch chromed copper tube
2cm each of 17/32, 9/16, 19/32 brass (for nesting)
1 x 15mm chrome brass tee
1 x 15mm male tube bush
1 x 15mm male to pvc connector
1 x 15mm by 100mm m&f chrome brass extension
1 x chrome brass plug
1 x Longshot
40cm of schedule 80 cpvc (for the barrel)
You may find these at Bunnings but got everything except the brass tube and the Longshot from REECE.

The only thing I'm going to go into is the bolt section because everything else is the same as any other singled mod.
To make the handle take the 15mm male tube bush and screw it into one end of the chrome tee, then screw the 15mm male to pvc connector into the opposite end. Be sure to use plumbing tape on these threads.
To eliminate dead space inside the tee nested about 6cm of chrome tube inside the tee and the pvc connector and hot glued all the remaining space in the tee, the chrome tube fits nicely inside the cpvc barrel.
After the dead space is filled yon can make the handle all you do is screw the chrome plug into the female end of the chrome extension, then screw the male end of the extension into the tee. Since the tee is completely filled there is no need to fill the dead space in the handle. I also wrapped black duct tape around the middle section of the handle because I think it looks cool.

When the handle assembly is finished nest the 1/2 inch chrome tube, using the the 3 different sized brass tubes as spacers, inside the black plastic bolt end piece then hot glue the dead space as you would for a brass breech. Since the 1/2 inch chrome tube has the same outside diameter as 1/2 inch brass this is a perfect way to do it.
Now you can attach the bolt to the handle assembly.
When I did this I was prepared to hack the inside of my shell until it fit so the only measurement I needed was how far the bolt went into the plunger tube before it caught, I found that to be 8.5cm. So it is important to have at least 8.5cm of tube between the handle and the opening to the plunger tube.

After you have removed enough of the shell and positioned your barrel your Longshot internals should look like this.

The other mods to this blaster include a 15kg spring as well as a Longshot spring and the necessary reinforcements to prevent wear and tear.
I haven't done a range test yet but it is just as powerful as my brassed breeched Longshot with the same spring combo and that hit 32m flat.
I am happy to answer any questions about this mod.
Peace!
