Longshot Brass Breech Dart Tooth Empty Longshot Brass Breech Dart Tooth

Hey, I was wondering if not having a dart tooth in a brass breech Longshot will affect the seal on the darts since there is nothing to push the darts back into the back piece of the brass (plunger tube piece).

Or, do both front and back breeches form a seal with each other, thus not needing the dart tooth?

The idea of the brass breech is for the dart to be pushed into the 9/16 barrel, not into the 1/2 inch. The 1/2inch acts as a pusher in this situation.
