Oznerf Banner Competition submission thread (please vote)

Hello everyone!
this thread is to submit your entry in the competition, simply reply in this thread with your submission as a photo, with a few details if you like, your entry will then be put into a vote poll which will then be voted by everyone on the site. The banner with the most votes on the 20th of January will be the winner.

Maybe have a map of Australia in stead of America

As for all the pics being Brissy wars - those are the only pics I can find :/ if someone can direct me to another states pic thread that would be awesome.

Unknown - you are TOO good at photoshop to be allowed to compete.

Can I ask - how do you get the graffiti designs in the background, do you make them yourself, or take pics or what?

Can we not simply keep this one? It is great. No offence to you guys but a banner or logo should be simply and elegent. The current banner does this really well. Some entries from the old one and this one just seem to be 5 minutes jobs on paint.

Just a suggestion for everyone, make the background of your banner the exact same colour as the current banner (the very dark grey). It would look much better if it blends in like the current banner.

+1 for Unknowns, Just a suggestion, Would be cool if it was like the James bond begging credits, and there's a blaster with a dart getting fired out with like Nerf stuff in the background

Is there anyway that colour could be changed or something? I don't know anything about the forum settings but would it be possible to make it so that the image covers the entire area? Making a banner blend with that single colour really kills a lot of possible designs. I couldn't even utilise that colour with my worn look since it wouldn't match up with the flat colour on either side.

I'm sure you could, but I don't know the size of if it were to be a full size banner.

Hey all, I though I'd give this a whirl and see what you all thought



EDIT: Only putting one banner here for the vote, so I culled the second one since it was *too* Nerf Logo like. A name for it...? "Zandor's OzNerf Banner of Upgraded-ness" ?

(... I dunno, how do you name a banner differently when it's got OzNerf written all over it? XD)

The banner is a different width on everyone's screen because, well, people's monitors are different widths. You have to design it to fade out at the edges to one color if you want it to fit. Otherwise there is no fitting my 5120x1080 screen :p

I might give this one a shot, if I get the time.

Hopefully these two fix the colour matching problem.

Has anyone tried making the logo using just nerf darts to write the letters of OzNerf - Australian Nerf Community. You don't always haev to have a blaster on it. I think we should try to avoid the Nerf Logo theme (being the yellow letters and red stripe around it).

My $0.02 worth - stick with the original banner...
