having brought a jolt a couple weeks ago and done the basic ar + Teflon tape mods i was bored one day and had some brass leftover from when i built my brass long shot so i started thinking about how to do a brass barrel for my jolt and as i started working on it i got more ideas and it ended up turning into a bolt action top loading brass barreled jolt its still a work in progress and ill be ordering more brass to build a finished version. ill need more brass at the back of the gun to hold the bolt so it doesn't slide all the way out from the barrel and to not cut such a large opening for the darts to be inserted. sorry for the lack of pics i only took a couple during the build so here it is enjoy.
would also love some feedback and ideas for version 2
top view after barrel has been removed and back plate taken off
brass bolt dart pusher assembly 17/32 inserted inside 9/16 to just past the air hole everything behind the air hole is filled with epoxy putty to remove dead space and hold the bolt handle in place aswell as seal the end of the tube. darts go into this section to just after the hole about a quarter of the dart sticks out the end
top view of barrel breach assembly air hole needs to be made bigger and end of breach needs to be longer to hold the bolt when its in the open position. barrel is 19/32 with 9/16 barrel inserted and glued in place. bolt and barrel meet when loaded inside the 19/32 to create an airtight seal. breach hole needs to made smaller as i cut it a bit too long
gun assembled sitting next to a stock jolt brass assembly clips in to whats left of the original barrel and is glued in place making sure to seal all gaps
ill start working on version 2 as soon as i get more brass hope you guys like it
