For Recon/Longshot clips why would we need to mod them to accept stefans? Is it because of the size of our stefans? Could someone explain.

It really depends, I make 5 cm stefans, which dont need modded clips to work. If you make them much smaller than that then they can start to jam.

Yeah Aardman is right, I make stefan's at 2.0" (5cm) and get very few jams in a recon, I find any bigger (2.5") jams or any than 2.0 jams.

how thick are your stefans because i used 15mm and they dont go in my longshot. could this be because of the pin? or are they just too fat.

15mm is to fat, 13mm works alright, but if you ask infom3r nicely I'm sure he will let you buy some of his 1/2 stuff which works really well.

yer i was eyeing his inventory on the trades and sales section. also my 15mm fit tight and nice in the 19/32 brass barrel on my water gun conversion lucky really cause my local bunnings didn't stock 13mm only 15,10 and so on towards 0

You don't modify the clips to accept stefans because they're too fat, you do it because they sometimes flip in the mag and jam up.
I was the guy who did the mod... The Inventor Guy on 'Haven.

I still can't believe the guy that first really modified the LS is a member of this site.

yeah, I guess because I see him regularly I take his evil genius for granted lol But yes Tidge has the skillz when it comes to modding, his nightfinder is also a thing of legend...

On the clips.. shorter stefans seem to fly so much better, we use 40mm ones and they go much further / straighter / faster than the 50mm ones

Also good 13mm works fine in a stock LS breech, just to people know..
