This is an older mod that I did, its posted on NH and FoamU too so I figure I would post it here too. I hope you enjoy it.
The Big Salvo
The Salvo is sweet! Even unmodified this weapon is rapid-fire and has a range 45 feet. The only problem is....That it only shoots the large missiles shown in picture above...
Lets fix that shall we...
This mod will make you be able to shoot Stefans, while adding 4 extra barrels!
You will need the following:
Flathead Screwdriver
Some ½ inch CPVC pipe.(its real cheap ten feet for like 2$)
Hacksaw or Pipecutter
Hot Glue(you prolly won't need it)
x 4 1/2" CPVC street elbows
x 4 1/2" CPVC tees.
This is an extremely easy mod just follow the directions and you'll be done in no-time.
Ok lets get started. Take your screwdriver and pry off the four air restrictors on the tips of the barrels like so, don’t worry about breaking them you’ll never need them again.
Next, measure some CPVC pipe. The best way to do this is to stick the pipe down into the barrel make a mark with a pen at the end of the barrel....Then cut.....Slowly you want it to be as even as possible.
Alrightly now stick the CPVC inside the orginal barrels, they should fit tight. You can wrap some e-tape around them to make sure the stick in there good.
You can stop right now if you wish, the gun will be fully operational. But with the cost of some range you can add 4 extra barrels.
First you will need to buy 4 1/2" CPVC street elbows, and 4 1/2" CPVC tees. Like these:
Now, push the elbows and tees together like this:
Alrightly get out your pipecutter again, we will need to cut more CPVC. Cut 8 barrels all of equal size, don't make them to long, I cut all mine a little over 2 inches.
Now attach the 8 barrels to the CPVC elbows and tees.
Then, put them on the gun like so....
There you are! The best part about these barrels is the fact that they are complete removable. So if you want to fire 4 darts or 8 its all a matter of switching or taking off the CPVC pieces. I wrapped a rubber band around the barrels to keep them in place, I recommend you do this too.
The range with 4 barrels is about 60-70 feet, for 8 barrels you get about 45-50 feet.
