Not that i have done this.

But if you have a recon you can see how they have a catch release on both sides of the gun, you maybe able to do the same on the LS at the expense to the recon.

You wouldn't need to use parts from a recon, the release could be modified to alow it to be worked from the left side also. Dremel a small channel in the shell, attach a screw or something directly to the slide on the other side of the gun and bam, lefty longshot.

Nope it is really hard to get used too, and i am ambidextrous, and i still find it difficult, so for most left handers that isnt an option.

How about you try wielding your LS left handed? Then you'll get an idea of what it's like to try and wield an LS in your opposite hand. And yes, I am right handed. I'm considering doing an 'Ambidextrous LS' mod and write-up to help my various left-handed friends, and for the benifit of the community.

Well at the moment I'm just using my right-hand for taking the mag out, I worked out a way to do it so I can use my thumb for the Mag release whilst pulling it out with my hand.

You could key ring the release for the clip...I'm a lefty and it works great for me

I do use it left handed however due to the longshots "right handed only" option i found myself using my right hand a lot and keeping a mav on my left side.

mind you after fiddeling around with the cliplocks and the place where the mags go in i found that by sanding down where the clips slots in just a tad to remove any places it could catch I found I could get the clips to just drop out.

Then again im pretty good at reloading the ls as its the only thing i use atm

you would be suprised guys but i cocked my longshot so the mechanism didnt move and then i started to twirl it while holding onto one side of the cocking handle and i managed to create a spinning shield of awesomeness that protected me from a friend who unloaded a full magstrike clip at me

has any one seen a duel weilded vulcan?

and if you shot a bullet from a nite finder 80degrees at a enemy they will look at it giving you the chance to reload and shoot them from a flat shot, very easy trick if you can reload fairly fast

best to be used with NF or with a magstrike (tap the triger and releace 2-3 shots and shot the rest at em )

Dual wielding a Vulcan is impossible unless your wrist mustles are like your thigh mustles. Due to sheer weight and balance issues. Of course, if you can lift that much weight with your wrists, then go for it.

A man named Capt. NSSB on the HvZ forums is known as the Orignal Juggernaut for sucessfully dual weilding Vulcans. If you set up a decent system of straps to take the weight, you can pull it off. Of course, it's not recommended, but it can be done.

Too bloody right... That game ticks me off so much.

On topic, I don't think the idea to so EVER reload those vulcans. You use them for two reasons.

1: To make your enemies scream "OH COME ON" Before running in the opposite directon
And 2: For laying down a wall of foam to cover your friends while they reload.

'Course, I'm an idiot and that's how I'd roll. Whereas in truth, you use one at a time, and one is expended, you use the other vulcan to cover yourself while to slap a new belt in the other one.

Sliding might be a good trick to do in order to avoid single fire from Longshot or Longstrike! I did it few times when I had Nerf war with my cousin! At that time, he was using a Longshot and I used Nite Finder after running out of Recon dart. I only got one life left so nothing to lose, I ran straight to him with full speed and start sliding on the grass then aim to his head and shot. I got him! What he could say was "WTF".

Dont try this trick with faster shooting gun like Raider --> Epic Fail!

If I weren't so busy laughing, I'd say ban him and shoot him with one of his precious UMP45s. As it happens, he should be given a medal for sheer lulz.

Reaper did you forget about me?

I have currently 3 vulcans, and am trying to reverse feed one of them too, so to make it easier to dual wield them.

Vulcans are not that heavy or cumbersome, they might be if you were like under 5.10ft tall. but even then i know guys under that, that could dual wield. Maybe if you were under 16yo it might be harder.

I got a great double take out yesterday, i heard my team mate say something i quickly turned to see on kid running at me with a sword ripped out about 3 shots first shot took him out, the whipped around to take out his team mate. The vulcan is such a lovely weapon (in the right hands).
