Ok so after watching some videos from SA I've been wanting to try FFP up here in QLD. unfortunately the FFP rules don't quite work in QLD.
I've edited the rules so that hopefully we can play some FFP, I guess we can call it FF-QLD
Teams will be decided on the day and it will be up to the team captain to make sure everyone has a class.
Classes
Here they are:
Soldier
Primary: Anything that shoots up to 80 feet or less or anything fully automatic
Secondaries: Optional (50ft)
Tertiaries: None
Grenades: One.
Special ability: None.
Comment: Designed to have no real weakness, but no real strength, the soldier is good for all-rounders.
Suggested weapons: Longshots, Triple shots, AT2K's, Stampedes, Magstrikes.
Tank
Primary: The shield.
Secondary: Pirate sword. This weapon may be used to deflect darts, but not grenades or rockets, without penalty.
Tertiaries: Springer pistol
Grenades: None.
Special ability: None
Comment: Tanks make excellent defenders of vulnerable teammates and are fantastic for assault. Tanks make excellent melee fighters if you can get close enough, and they're the only class with unlimited ammo(their melee weapon). They also make ideal flag runners, especially if you can strap the shield to one's back. I would also think this class suits younger, shorter players as they can hide behind a shield much easier and they're typically faster runners.
Suggested Weapons: Nitefinders, Wipeouts, Mavericks, Furyfires, Barricades, Spectres.
Sharpshooter
Primary: Any gun that is not fully automatic and has a maximum range of 160 feet. Weapon must take a minimum of five seconds between shots for reloading. Cannot shoot at any target with this primary if the target is closer than 60 feet.
Secondary: Spring pistols or barricades only, with a maximum range of 50 feet.
Tertiaries: Pirate sword
Grenades: None.
Special Ability: None.
Comment: Easy enough archetype to explain. Very noob friendly and excellent for lazy people. Suited for defence or midfield. It should be noted that the tank class was conceived to counter sharpshooters, which in turn counter demolitionists.
Suggested weapons: Big blasts, Titans, AT3K's, shot blasts, mega missiles. Barricades, mavericks, spectres, nitefinders and wipeouts as secondaries/tertiaries.
Demolitionist
Primary: Rocket shooter
Secondary: Spring pistols or barricades only, with a maximum range of 50 feet.
Tertiaries: None.
Grenades: Three.
Special Ability: Rocket elimination and base destruction.
Comment: The demolitionist is easily the weakest class for general combat, but his/her armament more than makes up for the shortcomings. The special abilities make it a very risky class, but also include a high reward. Demolitionists have much to fear, as well as anyone who dares to venture too close to one, especially tanks.
Edits
As you can see the classes have been edited and Medics have been removed this is just to keep the game easy to ref.
Demos can now use any gun that shoots rockets this is because Titans that still shoot missiles aren't too common in QLD.
Grenades can be anything soft that you have lying around like socks or stress balls.
Shields may be any size. (Size counteracts speed so you'll want a mix of the two)
For safety reasons anyone who wants to be a sharpshooter must PM me before hand, telling me what gun they will be using. They must be responsible and must have been to a war before just so that they have had experience. (We don't wants noobs with Titans)
If one team is winning to easily I will change teams and/or rules because it is no fun being on the losing team.
