Adjustable voltage Rayven
Here's my Rayven I have been working on yesterday and today. It has a complete rewire and adjustable DC/DC Converter for voltages adjustable from 12v to 30v being supplied to the motors. Also extended the barrel back past the flywheels to help prevent jams (not done in second picture).

Ahh shit. Good Job Sicnut!
I love the function which allows you to adjust voltage.
Keep it up!

Re: Adjustable voltage Rayven
You'd be surprised how OP the rayven is when firing heavy silicone tips. They fire a good distant (around 80ft-100ft) and accuraetly as well. Streamlines... good luck hitting anyone with that. I hate them still cause they're fly wheel and loud lol.

Re: Adjustable voltage Rayven
Yeah only reason I'm shooting streamlines is they're all I have ATM. With the adjustable voltage I am going to find the optimum voltage to shoot streamlines and heavies, with and without barrel extension. And yeah it is stock motors until I burn them out

30 Volts
That is awesome! (I've wanted to do a NERF Star Wars Clone Trooper DC-17m with display for a while)
30 volts?! Wow. Does it have trouble at the extreme voltage ranges - like weird behavior or misfires?
Impressive work!

Re: Adjustable voltage Rayven
At the higher voltages it does sound like it wants to explode but due to the rear extended barrel it doesn't misfire coz the dart is in the barrel before it hits the flywheels. Thinking of adding a digital ammo counter this arvo if jaycar has the parts

30 volt Awesomeness
Great idea to extend the barrel. If you can, update us on if/when the motors burn out -- I am always curious how far/how long you can push those stock motors.
I get nervous running 8.4v of power - the motors are loud to me at that voltage, lol.

Re: Adjustable voltage Rayven
Very nice mod although admittedly what has caught my eye is the barrel extension before the flywheels. I've got two Rayvens I'm trying to 'fix' ... and that barrel extension gives me another idea to try xD

Re: Adjustable voltage Rayven
Ok cool tried the rayven at the weekend war at 17v and I'm in love. No sign of damage to the gun and the only misfires I had was from my 35rd drum not feeding correctly. Next up I'm thinking of brass barrel and a bit more tuning. Also I'll post photos of the simple paintjob and barrel extension when I remember. But seriously, I if you like rayvens, do this and you will not be disappointed, a rayven with trustfires doesn't even come close

New paint scheme with recon barrel extension which greatly improved accuracy

Re: Adjustable voltage Rayven
I've seated a new brass barrel in the standard barrel and extended how far it comes back. Also just found out she feeds snap caps on blue foam perfectly

That is one very tidy rayven. If only they weren't fly wheeled...

got a range/accuracy test/vid after the brass? i can't imagine brass working out very well for flywheel blasters

Re: Adjustable voltage Rayven
Yeah, I'd also like to see a little more of that Rayven in detail. I don't understand how a brass barrel helps in any way... Seeing as there's no pressure build up like that in a springer or air gun wouldn't any friction cause an immediate loss in range? I can't imagine the throwing force from the fly wheels if enough to negate all that friction. Am I missing something here?
Also, why brass? Wouldn't Petg work the same, maybe better since there's less friction?
The ranges are fantastic and I'm not disputing them, I just don't understand how it works.
I'm sure you know already but it's worth pointing out, you won't be able to use this at any wars here in Brisbane. Full black = no go. Why not try some brighter paint jobs? I've noticed most of your blasters are predominantly black.
