I think you guys have "Stag" Joint Paste in Australia.

    https://www.whitworths.com.au/main_itemdetail.asp?cat=133&item=63768&intAbsolutePage=1

For anyone else who cares, "Goop" is different than contact cement. It's goopier and takes a while to cure. It's not really an adhesive so much as a sealant. It takes a bit to get use to working with. It dries to an almost hard rubber consistency.

    Hope this helped.

A SNAP is a homemade, standing for Simplified Nerf Armament Prototype. Even though the inventor's now on revision 8 or 9.

Thanks MIG - I might have to get a tube and try it out.

Very interesting that it will seal fuel piping.

At this particular sale each tube costs $3.62 AU with a postage of 12.99.
    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-AMAZING-GOOP-1-oz-140032-/390309488803?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item5ae04228a3#ht_1422wt_901

    Pretty ridiculous.

However if you buy 10, Postage is $12.99 + 99c per item = Postage totals at $22.98

    + 3.62 per tube

    = Total $59.18

Divided by 10 tubes and you get... $5.20

    Not too bad price wise.

The head isn't screwed on properly or there is too much plunger padding.

I'm interested but I'm not in Queensland

And yeah, as Unknown said, probably too much plunger head padding. For my LS it's a matter of trial and error, or just waiting for the padding to be a bit more compressed so that the clips come in and out right off. Try sliding back the bolt sled by hand to see if it'll move back a bit more

TooBz, also check the alignment of the bolt sled and the whole plunger assembly itself. Were you replacing springs? If so the plunger head must fall into the grooves of the rod. Or like Unknown said, there's too much plunger padding.

Put me down for some goop Clunk.

I found 4 Big Salvo's at my local Toyworld today. They are $50 each. Is that a total rip or are they pretty rare these days and so it's worth it?

$50 is worth it for a Big Salvo these days. Plus, you found it local.

Its 90-100ft with four shots (I think it's fired all at once though) so it would do pretty good at a war,

Personally I wouldn't pay $50 though, but that's just because of my blaster preferences. ($13 shotblast > $50 Big salvo)

If you're into collecting guns though $50 isn't to bad and the prices are only going to go up.

If you were to buy it from Overseas, prices would be around the same. It's also getting rarer so $50 is good considering you don't have to wait.

    No problems Oxy.

That's a good price too for the Salvo mate - my local Toyworld is selling them for the same price.

I am just wondering if anyone can give any details of the titan tank, (length, width,) I think it can handle around 35 psi, (correct me if I am wrong) and whether it just runs off of pressure or its got a plunger that moves back as pressure increases?

11.5cm x 7cm (about) and unplugged pump take the tank up to about 60psi.

Also, it's a standard piston-valve tank, so there's a spring-loaded plunger inside the air vessel.

Hey guys just a quick question, wasn't sure if this should go here or in the mods forum. I have a problem with my alpha trooper, I just got the Black Tactical spring, which works a treat but for some reason when I try to put the stock end back on (the black thing) the gun wont cock, although it looks likes its priming all the way back, I was just wondering if anyone else has had this problem or knows of a fix.

    Thanks

Hmm, okay thanks guys, also I'm thinking of integrating a Titan into my longshot, like others have done with the front gun, but it has some sort of capability. Nothing set in concrete, its just an idea I had (probably plotting and scheming that I will never get around to). At the moment I am deciding whether it would be easier and cheaper to scratch build a tank that will be smaller and rigging a pump to it with a breach of some sort, and putting it into the front gun shell and part of the longshot, all integrated together... Any thoughts?

Most likely the catch isn't catching, maybe the plunger is being pushed out more by the spring and is caught against the black thing, either that or its possessed, or some other perfectly logical explanation...

Yeah that's what I've been thinking, but it happens no matter how far I put the stock rest on, so just trying to see if anyone knows the little thing I'm missing.

@blastedgnu - it's a common fault when upgrading springs in the AT. You need to trim some of the shell ribbing out at the end of the blaster. I'm sure someone's posted a pic on here already of what needs to be done. It's fairly similar to performing the same mod on a Raider.

@Mothic - heaps of people have integrated a Titan tank in to the main shell of the LS. I'm pretty sure gooni's dubbed it the LongTit (I think it was gooni anyway).

Finding the parts required to build a PVAT is no easy task, so good luck with that.

What I meant was actually have the front gun as the titan bit but still keep the brass breach and clip fed plunger system at the top, so the longshot has brass breach with the original plunger, and the bottom of it has a mechanism and breach similar to a singled titan.

    Hi everyone

Could someone measure the length of the 'lip' of the maverick plunger? Preferably in millimeters, I'm trying to replace the plastic with craft foam, so yeah

    Thanks in advance

Just my opinion - but you may want to look at using a smaller and cheaper air tank for the front gun. At best, you'll hit maybe 170ft out of a Brassed LS with a minimal angle. Singled Titans will hit an extra 100 ft on that range.

Even with a BBUMB tank or similar, and a shotgun attachment, you'll get a pretty decent range and spread, and save yourself quite a few dollars in the process.

Anyway, like I said, just my opinion.

If I'm measuring the right bit, looks around 3.25 mm to me.
