New Leak: Barrel Break IX-2

Yes I know that this is on other forums and is old news by now but I like the Oz Nerf community more than any of the other Nerf Communities, so here it is, the newest leak:


I actually really like the look of it, I mean the Double Shot sucked, let's face it, so a Nerf shotty would logically be at least a little better, and more room for modding too. And that bullet holder looks actually... well useful, something very rare of tactical rail accessories.

I also have a bit of a theory, we've had the Alpha Trooper, exclusive to Target, then the Spectre, exclusive to Wal-Mart (apparently) and now this, exclusive to Toy's 'r' us, so I think that there will be a fourth, for K-Mart. So that means we'll be able to expect 5 guns now... hopefully.

Have you noticed on the Spectre, Alpha trooper, Cler Deploy and this that its the same guy holding the gun?

Nerf are cutting back on both the plungers and the gun models now.

Don't you love how creative nerf is with their names? At least they didn't use the 'pull two words out of a hat' method e.g. crossfire, strikefire, longstrike.

I've always woundered this but does the CS, AS and IX actually stand for something or is it just NErf trying to sound good?

and I don't know bout you guys but I like the new 9/9/10 gun styles (I despise there firing mech) but I love the looks..... Except for the alphaphail

CS = Clip System
AS = Air System
IX = Something manually loaded with a normal cocking system (Don't know what it stands for though)

What the cs and ebf is like clip system or electronically belt fed.
That gun actual doesn't look that bad.
I hope the reloading isn't a bitch, hopefully you can stick it in there and go.

Too me it looks like 2 side-by-side Nitefinders. But that is just what im hoping, and it sort of looks like it.

I really like the look of this nerf gun more so than the others i've seen come out of the wood works as of late.

N-strike Boomstick sounds good to me.

That looks pretty cool. I just hope it's got some decent internals. I'd hate to crack one open, and see a doubled-up Recon in there...

I'm thinking you 'break' the barrel apart, load the darts into two holes, like the Nitefinder, crack it back, shoot. I don't know how it will prime though.

Pure speculation - It primes as you break it apart..... if it does this it would be awesome.

it may still be reverse plunger, but the reverse plunger can be effective, look at the crossfire and reflex/eliminator - it enables a decent air output to fit into a much smaller space than a regular male plunger. Sure they have drastically less modding potential, but who gives a shit, srsly I've been going to less 'nerf wars' lately and spending more time running around with mates with stock-ish blasters and stock darts..... amazing fun...

True, the Nitefinder is an EX-3 and its not inverted.

Nerf confirmed it on there facebook page. Best new gun so far!

Photos don't work for me. Either they're screwed, or my computer is. I certainly hope that it's the former.

Nerf also confirmed on their facebook that EX = externally primed, IX = internally primed

basically, because of this EX= regular plunger, IX = reverse plunger... like what roger said basically they just confirmed it

so yes.... yet more reverse plunger goodness from nerf..

It's not like there aren't still heaps of good blasters around. You guys will pay $60 for a longstrike and complain it's shit when you could get a At2k/3k for that from the states, or buy a BBBB for $30. Or take the time to get good at this shit and make your own springers (note I'm only encouraging homemade springers)
