2011 New Nerf Releases - The Definitive thread

I am genuinely intrigued by the 10-round swarmfire. If it is as front heavy as the last one it may be awkward without the stock.

Just wondering about the Transformers Barricade though, I mean being called the "Barricade" shouldn't it not have "Barricade" on it?
Mind you, it does sound like an angry bee...

That really doesn't make sense, as the blaster pictured is a Bumblebee Barricade, not a Barricade "Barricade"...

Apparently it's a re-paint to compliment the Optimus Prime Barricade.

That really doesn't make sense, as the blaster pictured is a Bumblebee Barricade, not a Barricade "Barricade"...

Well yeah, I understand that the repaint is Bumblebee themed. What I meant is that it would be more 'fitting' for the repaint to have been Barricade instead of Bumblebee purely because of the blaster name.

Anyway, of all the sonic series the only one I like is the barricade.. looks nice.

It's cool that alot of the triple shots are coming out in a variety of colours. From the top of my head I think they come in the following 'forms'.

- Olive Green
- Red (havent' seen in Aus though)
- Yellow (hand cannon)
- Opaque Clear
- Blue (seen on a SG video)
- HvZ colour I can't explain what it is

So far on my travels I've seen many new things, such as, BB rouge, hawk, new style ds and the entire gear up line. I assume they'll be in Australia soon, I can't really put any pics because I'm on my iPod.

Probably not. It's a direct plunger springer, not an air blaster.

Yes, it's probably on the same tier, but it can't really be called a re-make. Completely different type of blaster. Looks pretty interesting though, probably fairly decent modding potential for something so small.

Hey clunk, this is slightly unrelated to above discussion, but with that Optimus Prime Barricade you got your hands on, how did you get it to Australia? I'm a little bummed that they aren't available over here...

I used a third-party shipping company, but they're not exactly cheap. For example, I normally import blaster's in bulk, usually around 30kg packages, and shipping is around $800 or more, depending on size of the packing box, custom's etc.

I've just shipped my last parcel over. I had planned to add more purchases to the package, but I'm going to be down-scaling my collection soon, so it didn't really make much sense. It cost around $130 AUD to import 5 blaster's, roughly the same size as a barricade.

The barricade itself cost me $65, and shipping was close to $40 - but that was in a bulk consolidated package, so I got a pretty decent discount.

Like I said over in Australian Nerf, nice find Luke. I reckon the Jolt is actually a lot better than the Reflex, not just for its size, but the latter has issues with the nub in the outer shell slowly disintegrating if you add a few mods.
