Is there a way to strengthen the deploys handle? My friend isn't planning on folding it up.

The Questions Thread.
Would I bea able to nest 19/36 brass straight into my BBUMB's barrel? Also, do I glue the hole in the centre of the pump to plug it?
Is there a way to strengthen the deploys handle? My friend isn't planning on folding it up.

@swatsonia, Yes you do fill up the hole in the centre of the pump with glue

According to SGnerf the new 2011 Dart-Tag line is exclusive to the US and Asia; link is HERE.
Does this mean that They aren't avalible in AUS

My guess is that since we're a relatively small market it'll be released but not with a big announcement and it'll vary on the supplier i.e. it could be a store exclusive before being available to all major stores.
@thestick, not my original photo because I'm not at home at the moment but here you go.

Deploy questions again:
How could you feasibly replace the light with a traditional torch?
To strengthen the handle, could you glue it in place without any effects on the parts?

Completely broken off. It snapped pretty violently so I don't know where they are now.

Re: The Questions Thread.
I'm gonna double post because this is an entirely different thing that I just thought of in between the posts...
I just got phuonguyen's AT2K. It didn't come with darts so I had to use my own (though for some reason I think I dreamed it had)
I'm using blue foam with 8g snap caps. My question is, what is the optimum dart to use on it? I'm getting 20-22m at the moment, though I remember the seller telling me range varies from 18 to 32m.

You could probably salvage your NF by mounting the barrel in there with a shit-tonne of glue, but I wouldn't. I'd just go buy a new one and use the old one for parts.
Next time when you are putting your NF back together, don't over tighten the screws that hold the plunger in. This is probably what caused the tabs to break in the first place, not the cutting of the shell.

Re: The Questions Thread.
You could stick the plunger tube in there and line it up, but I wouldnt, it could go all wonky. Over-tightening the screws makes the little tabs break.
If you get a new one, make sure you salvage the O-ring and put it on the new one.
@Swatsonia
It won't collapse if you glue the handle.
And yeah, you could replace the light really easily. Just get into the light and replace the bulb. I can give you some more detailed instruction, just shoot me a PM.

Yeah I'll just buy a new one, it's ten bucks so that's like 20 minutes of work.

Okay so I know what not to do, but how about what to do in terms of reinforcement? With the shell removed to make way for the coupler, and the stock dart barrel cut down, where can I improve the strength of the plunger tube?
PS: please empty your PM box, I sent you a message regarding the clip feeding breech we were discussing on chatbox

Recon ideas/suggestions
I have a recon i wana mod but dont know what to do to it. Im planning on selling it and painting it. Colour schemes and designs are welcome and appreciated. thanks.
EDIT: The mods are going to be both cosmetic and internal performance mods. Must be affordable and possible mods. Its going to take stefans and stock darts if possible.

I'm confused as to what you mean by improve the strength of the plunger tube. It's not going to break or anything, it just most likely wont be lined up or sit in the shell too well.

Strengthen/reinforce the parts I circled in an earlier photo.

Oh, right. Well you said they snapped off right, so you can't really reinforce it, unless I've read wrong...

Yeah, I know that. I'm talking about the future NF that I will buy. I don't want it to snap again. Basically if I cut around the part where the barrel meets the plunger tube, those two screws will be the only means of holding it down.

Fill that Sonofabitch with hotglue until it leaks out the sides.
That'll make it solid.

As long as you don't over tighten those screws and weaken the tabs you shouldn't need to do any re-enforcing. My NF has the same mods done as your and has had months of use without any problems.
If you are still worried, try putting a small washer (you can get square washers that fit nicely) between the screw and the tab, this may help.

Would the one they put in the battery cover of the NF be useful?

Re: The Questions Thread.
To answer anyone's NF repair questions,
Buy a new one
and use the broken one for parts, they're around $15 regularly and anywhere from to $10 and under on sale. (even cheaper if you get them from a cheap-store)

lol way to put it Chaos. I suppose I was going to do that, except lack of cash made me consider if I could repair it without having to go to Kmart
Is there a way to make certain PETG barrels tighter? I rebarreled a tek 6, and depending on the day, certain barrels are looser than others.

Tightening rings made with pipe cutters KIND of help, but not much.

Possibly, assuming that the rail clamp setup is the same as this one. And that's assuming that both products are from the same Dealextreme website.
As for myself, I've bought an MP5-style RDS for my Alpha Trooper. I shall hope to see it next month...
This may be personal, but have you gone around to talking to modman lately Cam?

That scope's rail should be able to go onto a nerf tactical rail quite easily. It might require some dremelling if the base is too narrow however.

Re: The Questions Thread.
Pretty much anything that mounts onto a 20mm weaver rail will mount to Nerf guns. Unless it's a 20mm quick release/cam lock mount. I bought one of them and it requires SEVERE modification of the scope to fit it on my Longshot's, Alpha Trooper's, and Longstrike's rail.KingCam wrote:Would is scope work ok on a Nerf Longstrike?

When you guys cut your blue foam, are you...
a) OMG this must be precise, cut at a 90degree angle with no flaws or bends and if one stuffs up its out of the ammo pile
or
b) *Slice* ... that'll do
?
I'm cutting mine right now and they're at like an angle (not drastic... like say a 5-10degree angle or something) and I'm not sure if I should be more precise...

Tha'll do, pig, tha'll do.
The hotglue, when you place the cap on, makes uneven edges quite even, but if it's a few degrees off straight, it really doesn't matter.

And they're cut to the same lengths as streamlines yeah?
edit: rephrase that... are streamline lengths the optimal length in terms of clip friendly and head type customization?
