    A dart question for me.
My Deploy works with streamlines best, shooting them about 60-80 feet depending on the actual condition of the dart, but they fly out of control..
So I made some stefans out of size 00 weights, and they flew a few meters. Then, I made some craft bead darts, and they flew much better, but still not as good as the streamlines. They flew straight but only stayed near the 60ft mart.
So, is there a lighter weight I could use or do I stick with streamlines?

Btw, the FBR is just normal black foam.

Yes I know I've done it now. How do you fix the back plate of the LS plunger?

First of all. Is your deploy modified? 60-80ft is very hard to believe since it's an R Plunger. Even with a streamline, it's pretty hard getting those ranges. You're telling me that your thing shoots 18-24metres?

00 size weights are too heavy for such a low powered blaster.

Craft beads maybe the perfect weight for you.

We ban any fishing weights at Brisbane wars btw. Washer darts are allowed (since I use them) as long as they're coated in hot glue or inside a snap cap. Metal washers are your best bet I reckon.

Ok, so I went to Bunnings today to get me some 16mm conduit. However, they only had 20mm and the next sizes up. Other than ordering on here from people, where can I buy it?

If it's not in Bunnings, try Mitre 10, then Home Timber and Hardware.. or whatever the local equivalent is. I found 16mm conduit in the 4th hardware store that I visited.

Thanks for the tips. I'll have to try slugs then. Oh, and yes my Deploy is modified.

EDIT: I just had a bit of a think about slugs or snap caps, and I decided on the latter.
But I can't seem to find anywhere to buy..
littlebro05 only sells his in thousands, and acerised's look a bit big and don't come with washers..
So could someone please point out where you get the materials or what the materials are actually called? (size of snap cap and washer, etc)

Slugs are fine. As long as the tip of the dart is metal. You may as well purchase them in the thousand. Once you start at attending wars in Brisbane. You will be very surprised how many darts you lose.

The most surefire place to get those is at an electrical and data cabling supply store like Middy's.
The smaller diameter PVC pipes are not typically found in hardware stores, because for the average home, PVC pipes are only used to carry water and small diameters don't do a good job for that purpose.
However, for industrial/commercial purposes, small diameter pipes are used to sleeve the cables to make them neat and protect them from possible damage, hence the term "conduit".

I've Got The Coupler And Plug But Australia Doesn't Supply ACE #49 Springs, So Do I Have To Crack Open A Night Finder For The Spring?, Or Should I Buy A C-386 And Put That In The Night finder And Use The Night Finder Spring?, Or Just Use A C-386 Spring For The Power Stock? I Thought The C-386 Spring Might Be Too Harsh On The Alpha Trooper But If I Reinforced The Plunger With Epoxy And A Washer, Would I Be Able To Use The C-386 Spring??

I wouldn't use a c-836 for anyhting other than a nitefinder and even then there a better springs for nitefinders.

Definately don't use the c836 in the powerstock on the alphatrooper.

First of all, my signature wasn't working then I asked if a mod could make it work, he did (thanks mate) but its locked, as in, I can't change it.

So can a mod come along it 'unlock' it so I can change it around?

Personally, I find Stock NiteFinder springs work greatly in powerstocks, as they are easy to compress, but give just enough power.

Like someone said previously a C386 is almost useless in nerfing outside of the Nitefinder.

You can check around your local Bunnings for some springs, but in mine they're all either too small or have horrible compression. Though your local store may be better than mine

Using a stock spring seems such a waste.. but if you want try using a Nitefinder or a combination of smaller springs from crap guns.

I'm really doubting 90 feet as said in that thread though... unless angled

Also - for your sake, reinforce the plunger tube

I Doubt that you could get 90ft even with a spring replacement AND a powerstock... The whole thing would just break even with reinforcement.

And yes, for goodness sake. Reinforce the plungertube.

Hmmm, if that's true that would be good, the description says 'fits 20mm Picatinny rails'.

Looks like it should work, you may need to dremel away some of the rails if it is too tight, however.

I've managed to get weaver-mount scopes to fit tactical rails without too much hassle. You just need to add a couple of mm's to the width of the rail on either side. I epoxied strips from my stampede shield - worked a treat!!

Where can I buy solvent weld From?

I went to bunnings today and they didn't have any, so I then went to Burdens Plumbing Supplies and they tried to sell me some green PVC High Pressure cement.

So what I'm trying to do is solvent weld a piece of vinyl tube in to the back of my buzz bee mega missile tank so then I can put the tank in to my Nerf Longstrike.

You solvent weld with solvent cement... which is sometimes referred to as PVC cement. I really don't like your chances of achieving this with vinyl tube. I've had success with SS Araldite though.

Basically making the barrel a tight fit, and covering the whole dart. Of course it depends which shell you're talking about.

    So yes do more research

This one's a doozy, when I put my Longshot stock-with-the mod-so-that-it-doesn't-move-around, my LS has problems priming. When I remove it, there's absolutely no problem. Anyone encountered that before?

So can a mod come along it 'unlock' it so I can change it around?
    No.

Trust me, I've looked into the settings and I can't see why you can't change your signature. I've gone ahead and ticked in "Always attach my signature" in which it should always be left in as it allows signatures to be disabled when you're posting long replies or topics.

If you still can't go around with it, PM me.

In a longshot, where does the cocking bar sit on the bolt?

The internals pics make no sense to me.

For background on this question: I am planning on putting a direct plunger into my friend's deploy, and the only bit I'm stuck on is the cocking mechanism.

Not even going to bother with that mod now . . .

Ok so I found a lot of Vinyl Dye colors at Autobarn so here my question's.

Do I have sand down the paint on a Nerf gun before I spray the Vinyl Dye on the Nerf gun?

Ok so I'm going to spray my Nerf Longstrike with red Vinyl Dye.

Do I have to spray it with a white Vinyl Dye first before I spray it with red Vinyl Dye?

Can an admin change my signature to:
+ Knee Deep In The Dead, Surrounded By Nerf Bullets +

Because it won't let me change it.
