I combine fix-a-tap or 'grease for taps' and the silicone spray food grade and it works mega wonders. It's stays on pretty much any surface for a long time and the plunger movement is great.

My mate uses something called "Whale oil"... No, it's not made from whale or any organic matter but have any of you used this before?

pics? brand name?
Of course people are going to use whatever they can access, but I'm still amazed at how many PM's I receive on this particular subject.
Personally, I use nextorch silicone grease, but unfortunately my supplier has had it on back-order for nearly 3 months. I'm hoping to trial a different brand of flashlight o-ring grease in a few weeks. The viscosity of the nextorch is brilliant, and it lasts for ages.
Fix-a-tap grease has been used by many member's, with alot of positive reviews.
The pre-packaged grease that comes with oznerfnerd's RP spring upgrade kit is quite good also, and I've had similar comments from a few other member's who have used it as well.
Oh, and can't forget the personal lubricant identified previously in this thread.
Cheers,

Hey guys,
Just wanted to let you know that BlackTactical is now stocking the NexTorch silicone grease which I've been using for the last 4 months. It's fairly cheap, and I highly recommend it.

Mozart, I'll get my hands on some of this, and send it to you once it arrives. I've given up waiting for my normal supplier.
Cheers,

Re: Silicone grease....still no luck...
Yeh, if it's good enough for the BT guys, it's good enough for me!! haha
Funny thing is, I never had any issues with the Rocol. Maybe it's something to do with climate/temp. etc

I'm using loctite silicone grease. It's made for o-rings. It does a good job.
