Anyone know how to intergrate a maverick into a longshot? Or any tutorials out there?

Would a Red Dot Sight for a 12mm rail work on a nerf gun?

Why are you singling a longshot? There's no need, these days. Enough boltsled replacements to go around.

Yeah but money is a problem...Brass breech and spring and reinforcement, not to mention clips, will cost heaps.

The barricade/Longshot integration is also worth looking at.

Try hobby shops and model train shops. I know for a fact Hearn's Hobbies in the city have some brass, not sure about sizes though.

Call hobby shops until you get the sizes and prices you want.

Re: The Questions Thread.
So, are we allowed to make questions threads instead of posting them here? I'm tired of telling other people to go here, because they don't seem to heed my calls.

Re: The Questions Thread.
Most forums don't have questions threads so new members don't always (usually) notice it, perhaps it's time for a questions sub category?

Could it be made blaringly obvious? Don't new members get emails? If the email has a link to the questions thread or something that might help.

They get a PM that, from memory, says "blah blah blah read the rules here blah blah any questions ask here blah blah blah enjoy your stay".
Or something like that.

Re: The Questions Thread.
We have an introductory PM which is sent to every new member upon joining here. I have no qualms about new members PMing me should there be any queries needing attention. I'm happy to answer PMs that lie along the same "where can i get CPVC" tangent, so don't be afraid to ask.

just noticed your sig, SS. So I guess this place is as valid a place to ask what's the progress with your direct-plunger AT?

This catch component that wedges between these two circular plates is kicking my ass on the drawing board...

Has my direct plunger raider helped at all or is the system inside too different?

Re: The Questions Thread.
I gotta be honest in saying that your Raider design, though very ingenious, has had little bearing on my design for the Alpha Trooper. To help explain, my design draws inspiration from the Rainbow catch made from those silly US +bow derivatives.

You'd be better off doing it properly, rather than ending up with a Singled Longshot that's virtually useless.
You can buy the spring, and do the boltsled reinforcement for Stage 1.
Later on, once you've saved some more coin, you could then do the brass breech, call it Stage 2.
Cheers,

2 questions;
1. Are Rapid Fire Tek's still available? If so, how much and where?
2. Someone in America wants to trade for a Whiteout NF, what do you think I should ask in return?

Re: The Questions Thread.
Hey where do you guys source your heck valves from? I've been all over my local bunnings and home hardware but can only find PVC ones... I'm looking for something much smaller to be used with vinyl tubing to replace tyre valves, and I've seen some people do tank expansions with them. Any help?
