16mm is OD and the 16mm is grey but you can get 20mm in orange.

Paints
Alrighty so I went to pure some Australian Export paint ended up getting Gloss White.
Just a few questions.
Since its Gloss can I still apply handpaint over it?
Will I need to prine the blaster can I just sand?
Will it need a clear coat?

Yes.
Primer would be better but it's not completely necessary. Just sand it really carefully and clean the shell nicely.
Yes. Be sure to use a gloss clear coat.

I'm assuming you're talking about a Longshot.
Well, you need to get a nail or screwdriver, something with a similar size to the pin.
Then knock it out.

All you need is just a few good hits and it'll move out. Really you all need to hammer out is enough so that you can grab your pliers and pull them out.

You should be able to still hand paint over the gloss white. Make sure you spray it in thin coats, as the Export white can sometimes be a bit thick, and can take ages to cure if sprayed too thick.
Honestly, you'd be much better off with a primer. Using a grey or terracotta coloured primer will make the white look a lot cleaner, than if you just sprayed straight over the sanded shell. It will also reduce the amount of coats needed to mask any darker coloured factory paint that may not have entirely sanded off (eg: hand grips etc).
Yes, you will still need a clear coat. A matte gloss would be preferable, but it's a lot cheaper and easier to use gloss lacquer. Admittedly, 95% of my blaster's have been finished in gloss clear.

You can use a nail, a pop-rivet etc etc. Maybe someone you know has a pin punch set, which would be the ideal tool for the job.

Re: The Questions Thread.
Here's an idea I had a little while ago when I started watching the Hellsing Anime.
I noticed that the character Alucard had a handgun with an exceptionally long barrel, and began thinking about what would happen if one made a Nerf variant of it. The long barrel would allow for a much longer plunger tube that would otherwise be possible with a conventionally-sized Nerf pistol.
Then, while reading through the +Bow thread on NH, I had an idea.
My question is... would it be possible to fit a +Bow in the shell of a handgun like Alucard's? It looks like this. Obviously, the priming handle would protrude quite a way out the back of the gun (and much more so when primed, obviously), but what can you do?
Just wondering, since I'm not sure what the dimensions of a +Bow are. The only reason it would be put in this shell would be for aesthetics, and Rule Of Cool (because having a +Bow handgun would be just plain awesome).
Also, if this could be done, I would have it done as a commission, as opposed to making it myself (I'm not THAT stupid).
Forgive me if this is a completely stupid question, BTW. I'm just curious.

Re: The Questions Thread.
Well sands priming there is no reason you can't make it look the part. Going off the size of the handle there it is pretty close, I would say that alucard's is a bit longer (I mean it is just a stupidly big gun), but all certainly possible.
I remember wanting a model of that gun when I was younger, so awesome.
What I am interested in is a cosmetic mod to turn the rayven into a f88-steyer aug

Re: The Questions Thread.
If you were clever enough, you could suffer a reduced plunger tube length, and simply make the priming bar only extend to the back of the blaster's shell.
This would be tricky though, in terms of the catch and whatnot.

Re: The Questions Thread.
Yep. It'd have to be slightly longer in order to fit even a slight barrel.
But yay! I can pretend I'm a psychopathic Eldritch Abomination vampire!
I might talk to Clunk... Clunk, if you're reading this, are you skilled enough to make a +Bow? I might commission you to do something like that.
And yeah, it is a stupidly big gun. As was put by TVtropes... "Alucard doesn't need to use really big guns to kill other vampires, but he sure does like to."

Re: The Questions Thread.
@Reaper - I've not experimented much with home-mades, but I'd guess that the biggest issues would be materials and tooling.
Tooling won't be an issue once my new workshop is built around Christmas time.
Sourcing polycarb still seems to be a bit of an issue.
Your other option would be contacting Bradles.
Cheers,

how far is to far
hello I'm Joshua I am new to forums so if i fail to meet standards please tell me.
my question is how far is to far when it comes to homemade parts ex. i know a singled titan is usually banned, but if you had a homemade air tank hooked up to a bbumb valve would this fall in the same category as a titan?

Re: The Questions Thread.
@Joshua: At Nerf Wars, guns are classed based on range (although this may change with the introduction of Vortex discs, which make this much more complicated). So if it got the same ranges as a singled titan, then yes, it would be banned.
My personal idea with Nerf guns is this - if you're perfectly willing to get shot in the face at 2-foot range with it, then you're allowed to use it (and if I were running the war, when you turned up, I'd grab it and shoot you, just to make sure). However, as a general rule, organisers generally just ban any guns that shoot over X range (it will vary widely from war to war).
@Clunk: Well, that's hopefully something that can be worked around, with imports if need be (although I'm aware that it'd be extremely expensive to take that option). We can discuss this closer to the time. If I were to commission you to assemble something like this in, say, January (since I assume that that's when you'll have time), how much would it cost (excluding materials, because that will be an extreme varaiable in all likelyhood; also, should we move this discussion to your commissions thread)?
And yet again, this is all hypothetical (I've lost count of how many times I've said that ).

Hi, welcome to the forums.
Maybe take the time to finish updating your profile, and introduce yourself here:
http://www.oznerf.com/f12-welcome-to-oznerf
I've done a tank expansion on a BBUMB, and the ranges are similar to that of a Titan - maybe around 85%. Most organiser's have their specific rules concerning OP blaster's, so depending on your location, it would be best to contact the specific organiser.
@Reaper - I wouldn't need to import the polycarb, but I'd probably have to buy full sheets, which gets expensive. Hopefully, I'll be able to organise some off-cuts, but obviously I won't have much time to dedicate to this until next year. I'll keep my ears open of course, as I could always use some poly myself.
As for price, I really wouldn't have much of an idea until I start looking in to it. Having no experience with polycarb, I'd need to do some test-runs first, to ascertain my ability.
Realising this is all hypothetical at the moment, but once my new workshop is up, I'll start some research. Hoping to have it the new shop fully functional by Christmas - finger's crossed.
Cheers,

No worries mate. Once the new workshop is built, it should open up new possibilities for modding. I'll have a 8m x 5m area to work in, with over half of that dedicated to Nerf.
Waiting back on council approval, and the shed is about 6 weeks from being manufactured. A couple of weeks in there somewhere for earthworks and a 80 sq. metre concrete pad, and we should be in business. Excluding about 10 days for erection/plumbing/wiring etc.
I'll also be purchasing a heap of new tools, including a band saw and scroll saw, which should make working with polycarb a lot more viable.
Anyway, we'll leave it at that. If you want, send any other questions to:

I'm trying to do the bath plug plunger head for my quadshot, but it creates too much friction while in the plunger tube and won't shoot properly, anyone have that issue? also, does the hole have to be EXACTLY centred? because my bit was a bit small at the time and I just went round to enlarge the hole.

Re: The Questions Thread.
Have you got enough spring power in there? I find mine fit quite firmly in the PT and often require a bit of squishing but I lube them well and have a decent spring combo.
