Well, a 2k tank looks like it will fit so yes, yes you can be bothered. I'd like to see it once done.

I was going to put my Titan tank in my Spectre shell, but I just hate that shell.. It feels like crap, compared to the Mav.

I wouldn't think of the Spectre as a shell to be putting other things onto it. The Mav is fat enough to fit other ones though.

I've got another question - has anyone had any experiences with the NF where it's been modified with a more powerful spring, but the bullet trajectory is a bit weird, wherein it curves even when its shot parallel to ground (or close to it). It reaches 60 feet, but for some reason the velocity isn't as fast as my LS (which also reaches 60 feet).

Ok so first off I mainly use stefans made from stock darts. So I'm thinking of getting some PETG for an airgun, so will PETG be suitable for my needs?
    Thanks

petg is a really good fit with blue foam, so stock darts being smaller would be a little loose.

Stock foam will be a little loose in petg, but will be fine in an air blaster.

My titan wont fire after i pump it around 15 times. I have to push down the valve at the front to let the air out. Any one know why its doing this?

Maybe the piston connecting rod has come off the trigger? Not much else can go wrong in there.

Might have to open it up again, and just double-check everything. Maybe the piston might be a little sticky inside the air tank.

The piston should move in and out freely. It's pulled back in to the tank by a small internal spring mech. If it's sticky, maybe spray it with some lube. I'd be looking more at it's connection to the trigger though.

BTW, almost to the testing stage on your Longshot!!

Man, it's almost definitely something not in it's right place. It could be something wrong with the tank and if it is, take it back, but I doubt it's a problem with the tank. You could look at the trigger mechanism, it may have been stressed to the point that it's bent slightly, not enough to be blatantly obvious, but it's not releasing the piston properly.

Where can I get a 100' tape measure? I looked in Mitre 10 and they were ridiculous, $60 - $70 each. Possibly, does someone want to sell me a used one?

yeh, I got one from Bunnings for $12. But I assumed you were looking at different avenues, as I'd already suggested you get one from Bunnings.

    $35 delivered to TAS:

$19 from dinodirect.com if you can handle waiting 4 weeks for delivery.

Yes you can get plumbers goop. It's sold in little containers at Bunnings. There are like 5 different kinds lol.

We actually get PVC cement, which is slightly different to America's plumbing goop, but does serve the same purpose.

I don't get what you are saying. When I pressed the trigger on my stampede, it compressed the spring then just stopped. When I flicked the power switch it would return to the normal position with the uncompressed spring. Is this your problem? I later found out my Stampede had a serious case of Flat Battery.

To check if it's a problem with the stampede itself, go back to stock. Stock batteries, stock spring. If that all works then yes, you don't have enough voltage for the 9kg spring.

    Mate, there's about 10 threads on this. To run a 9kg spring, you'll need either a suitable 12v sla battery, or 4 x 14500 unprotected li-ion batteries.

Post  Pronga Mon May 30, 2011 4:17 pm

I'm kinda new so forgive me if this is a horrible post (also have a had a drink or two)

Just wondering what sort of suggestions you guys (and gals) have for me to buy as my secondary weapon.

All I have at the moment is a Stampede with AR mod (working on voltage increase at the moment)

So for the side arm I'm not so interested in ROF but more accuracy. range only semi important.

Thinking I should also make it something I can use as Tank class in FFP.

So, fill me with your knowledge and opinions!
