Nite Finder, mate. Decent mods, low cost, decent range and accuracy. Haven't really had any other experience with pistol type blasters, except Mavericks. Good for RoF, not for range. Well, not really. Still decent for indoor.

Just bought a NIB Airtech 3000 Twin pack from Jerm from Nerf Mods and Reviews.
If I decide to sell one of them, what is the average going price for one?

Anywhere from $60 through to $90. Average selling price seems to be around $75 though.

There's no hurry, just trying to clear it out of the way, before I end up gutting it for the air tank!!

I've seen that before, it just looks like an over-complicated way of making a clip-fed air gun, and it looks pretty rough too...
I really couldn't tell you if the SB tank will fit. For the price, it's probably worth getting one and testing it.
If it's too big, the SB is a pretty decent blaster anyway, after a few mods.

I've never been a fan of that mod, just looks too unco (and this is coming from king ghetto) You might want to try the AJ megaraider way instead. Also , what gen MM is it?

I think the shotblast would probably be a no go for this. As it is a quite large tank and you wouldn't get the full draw on the bolt sled I am thinking.

Indeed, altho if it is a gen 1 MM ,then it would take a big box of ghetto indeed.

KingCam, you have been warned again and again only to include relevant sections of a quote than leaving a massive chunk of blueness irrelevant to the conversation.
One more time and I'll be forced to do something about it. Last chance mate.

The Shot Blast tank is narrower than the MM tank. Therefore, I will be requesting for that MM since you don't need it anymore.KingCam wrote:Is the shotblast tank smaller than the MM tank?

Re: The Questions Thread.
SS, how good are the MM's for potential modding, say, compared to a shotblast (more so in regards to the air tank)?
I can find MM's in the States, but by the time I ship them over, they work out about the same price as a SB. I'm looking at options for quality air tanks at a decent price.
Cheers,

Re: The Questions Thread.
@ Clunk, The MM tank is one of the most useful air tanks to work with (IMO), that is the gen 2 tanks.
The gen 1 tank can prove to be a bit of a pain to work with as the end of the pump is a part of the tank akin to the 4B but is placed on the bottom of the tank not the back. Where as the gen 2 has a separate pump being connected this a hose making it a dream for putting in just about anything.
The only problem is that both gens are becoming ever harder to source now days.

Thanks gooni,
I can get them from the States for around $15 each, but shipping takes them up to around $45 or so. I can get Shotblast's delivered to my address for the same price, so I'm still a little undecided at present.

Had no problems with mine. A couple of the smaller ones were a bit ordinary on the RFSG, but none on the PAS.

Re: The Questions Thread.
Two questions about armoring a reverse plunger tube:
Though I have used the search function on this and other forums, i haven't been able to find pictures of it. Padding yes, armoring, no. I can't imagine its anything special to look at it but i'm a visual learner and would like to see it.
Secondly, would armoring the tube prevent or delay fatal damage (assuming I upgrade the spring and possibly put in a power stock)? The gun is an AT and I have a Recon stock on it.
Thanks!

That's weird, every single screw port that houses a short screw in mine was stripped. Like, I took it apart fine, they were all a tiny touch loose, then when I put it back together, it was like I was screwing into butter. Nothing.

I'll go.
Power stock is a spring system housed in large diameter PVC, built into the stock of a reverse plunger blaster. The spring pushes on the back of the plunger tube, the piece that sticks out the back, and pushes it forward faster, creating more power/better range.

okay, this is the last time I'm going to answer the exact same question. Either pad the plunger tube, or glue a washer on to the end of the plunger tube, or it will end up in 2 pieces very quickly.
Adding a spring and power stock aren't the reason behind the breakage. The AR's serve as a buffering system, without them, you need to take measures to prevent the tube breaking.
As discussed 3 or 4 times previously, there are 2 options, and I'm not really fussed over which one you choose to utilise. Here's a picture for your visual learning:
It's not the best job as I'd run out of Araldite, and had to use threadlocker, but it served the purpose until my alu plunger arrived. Anyway, it should hopefully enlighten you.
Also, could you add your age to your profile. It's helpful to know the age of the people you're attempting to help.

I think so yes. Hell, they even make a pretty damn good primary.
Just open it up, remove the AR (it just falls out) and add some pre-compression to the spring and you've got a 60-70ft secondary with great accuracy.

Re: The Questions Thread.
Which blaster is more powerful, the 4b, or the LAHB?
I first bought a LAHB, which i dont have anymore, and with only afew pumps it gave awesome power.
The 4B seems to take 7-8 pumps, but still doesnt give me the same feeling as the LAHB did. I noticed the internals of both are different, the 4B seems to have a larger tank.
But one thing i did different to the 4B was, i added a coupler right at the air tank outlet, where with the LAHB, i added a coupler way down the barrel, and didnt chop anything.
I think if all the air has a chance to compress into the barrel, before hitting the dart is actually better, where with the 4B, the air is pretty much hitting the dart straight away, so its actually giving me less performance?
Anyone had this problem before? Or never thought much about it?

Re: The Questions Thread.
Thank you, Clunk07.
I wasn't asking the same question everyone else was. I was asking if the padding and/or reinforcement was going to prevent or delay destruction of the plunger tube. I agree that asking the same question everyone else does is annoying. I didn't mean to do that so I was asking something different.
I've heard a lot of people advise the use of 3-day epoxy. Why is that better than the 12-24hr 5 ton stuff?
I will add my age to my profile shortly. in the meantime, I'll share it here: I am 28 though a child at heart.
Thank you again for your help!

The 72-hr epoxy is the only adhesive that I use, simply because it creates a stronger bond than standard Araldite.
It's easier knowing the age of people you're replying too - makes word choice alot simpler. I think we're all kids at heart on here!!
