well I am organising my own war but I would like to go with the general trend.

Personly I believe they shouldnt be banned as they are a substitute for the ridiculusly expensive crossbow and achieve similar results.

Not to mention you cant claim they would set a bad example to the public provided they are not painted black they look nothing like a real gun or look anything like an improvised pvc weapon such as a snap.

The issue is they don't look like toys - so it can be assumed as a homemade weapon, even if it doesn't look like a gun, there's nothing 'nerf' about it from the eyes of spectators, because of its non-plastic nature

I asked the same hypothetical question to Echoes - being the main war organizer in Sydney. He said no, but if you think that'll be sufficient...

Yeah I just dont understand ok if i put it inside the shell of a longstrike which i left unpainted would that be ok?

But it doesnt realy matter now as my octoshot is almost complete so I will have a few good primarys.

maybe just keep it simple and build a snap inside the longstrike shell would this also be ok?

PS sorry if im asking to many questions I just want to get this right.

I'm not a war organizer - but from what I can ascertain some people are doing the same in Sydney i.e. putting homemade internals into existing shells, whether it's air or springered

Alot of people are starting to use blue foam bought from inf0rm3r. 12.7-12.9mm are the sizes in between.

Hi instead of a plusbow would I be able to use a 2-11 in public as they are very unlike any real weapon I have seen?

Also I have heard they have excellent range and comfort.

@ Evonz I have seen a 15 to 32 at my bunnings which has a whole isle of pvc bits with even wye joints but they start at 20mm.

How is using a 2-11 any different to your previous knockbacked suggestion of using a +bow in public? The implication still stands that anything remotely homemade will always be deemed homemade in public eye, hence the policy adopted by many states here of only allowing homemades that are enclosed inside a toy blaster shell.

If you re-barrel it and add a spring it would be a good secondary. I re-barreled mine with 16mm conduit and added a lsfg spring and it gets just over 60 ft.

I think a Nitefinder spring would be a little bit too big in terms of diameter.

Anyway I assume you have one, since you have plans for one. It's not that hard to open up and close, it's a relatively simple blaster

Ranges of recon with oznerfnerd spring in it, with barrel attachment?

DON'T tell me to "go try it out yourself," Because I am just after an estimate. If your feeling generous an Alpha trooper estimate would be nice too.

Mavshot, as you are organising your own war, it is up to you to choose if their allowed. That said, it does not look good for the entire syndey nerf community if one small group is running around with 'weapons'.
As Rl said, echoes does not allow such blasters, and neither would I at the wars I host.

Yeah I'm not going to allow homemade looking guns but will allow homemades in real shells.

I was asking about pvc because I'm considering buying some pvc wyes.

Definitely down to the dart. A bad barrel just reduces range/effectiveness.

also could be a result of the dart not loading in to the breach properly, again that's usually caused by a bent/damaged dart, but could also be related to the dart tooth or a damaged breech.

I don't have any 20mm PVC but it doesn't quite fit into 25mm grey conduit (very close). Has nearly the same OD as 15mm PVC.
