Re: Aluminium longshot boltsled progress
I was thinking... why don you make high density plastic boltsleds instead. It would be cheaper to manufacture AND machine too.

But not purchase, the plastic costs more then aluminium
Some people want it in aluminium
I can do both

I'd definitely want one but I'd prefer to wait till you finish all the metal bits. I can see if I can organise a bulk order for the Melbourne people.

Re: Aluminium longshot boltsled progress
how are these being joined? screws and tapped holes? welded? are you going to supply them as a 'ready to instal' component or will the buyer be in charge of the assembly?
If we have to assemble it I'd rather pay the extra $20 and get the assembled SG version, each part is only as strong as its weakest link, especially seing as you have a join right where most boltsleds break (the vertical right angle at the front), so it will really make a huge difference how these things are joined

They will be supplied complete
The aluminium will bend before the screws sheer
If you plan to abuse it that much expect the first thing to be damaged will be the plastic guide rails in the casing of the gun

Re: Aluminium longshot boltsled progress
Alright $60 each for an order of 5 is fantastic, give me a week or two to organize money, people, etc and I will get in contact with you to place in the final order/payment (ATM looking like there could be more people).

I think perhaps you should make both and sell both at the same time for a cheaper price. You'll get more sales that way.

Re: Aluminium longshot boltsled progress
Alot of people pulled out so now we have:
Myself
You (phuonguyen)
Inf0rm3r
and 2-3 from friends of mine
I would really like to get these organised soon so we can get them before the 25th (for the war) but no point ordering till it is confirmed that they work.

Re: Aluminium longshot boltsled progress
Yeah next month, $70 sounds great, how much do you think it will be for postage with, lets say, 7 pieces?
Little bro pulled out because he is poor as, though as he still owes you money he will be paying for yours.
As for the Radcliffe guys, unless they find me and have a way to pay me digitally sometime next week then they can organise their own order. I don't really enjoy waiting on people while I get tons of others dropping out (seriously if you say you want something at least be sure of it).

Re: Aluminium longshot boltsled progress
If it's the 25th next month I will be able to pay for it Joey. If you're going to order them now I have no monies. I'm buying the catch and sled for for phuonguyen anyway.
