Re: Aluminium longshot boltsled progress
I was curious but do you reckon you could have these done before the 18th of September?
Will these be sent in pieces or already assembled?
1. If they are already assembled. do you think you could trim down on the screws in the middle of your sled?
2. If they aren't assembled. Then don't worry about it.
Joey I will be making your payments soon. Hopefully it'll come in your account thursdays tops. Since we're both on CBA.

I can send them assembled or in pieces
There are no screws in the middle, the handle that goes through the sled holds it together
How many do you want?

Re: Aluminium longshot boltsled progress
Is there a diagram of how this all bolts together? They're pricey but I'm really tempted to max out my LS with an Angel breech and spring...

The images also accompany the words "like"phuonguyen wrote:I was taking a look at the images that you've posted of the boltsled, and my concern is with the screw it self, the domed head seems to protrude out further than the reinforcment of the original plastic ones and the rest of the screw is also sticking out into the area that the bolt and plunger tube will be moving in. I think that's what littlebro was referring to when he said 'screws in the middle'.
Does these 2 factors affect the LS at all? I'd like it to be nice a clean, similar to the SG nerf. That bolt seems to make it seem untidy, but that's probably me.
The screws on the inside are flush with the vertical part
On the outside they still protrude "further then the original plastic"
The screws do not interfer with anything, if you open the longshot and actually look at how the parts fit together you will notice there is plenty of room. You would also notice that the plastic part infront of the sled interferes more then the plunger
This can be shown on the video I made. It does not affect the LS at all
If you want it "clean" get the SG nerf one
That bolt is on the inside of the gun, like all the bolts located in the inside of a car
The SG nerf ones cost even moreTheDoubleBracket wrote:Is there a diagram of how this all bolts together? They're pricey but I'm really tempted to max out my LS with an Angel breech and spring...
the tail part and front guide rails are held together with the handle
The vertical part is screwed to the front guide rails

Re: Aluminium longshot boltsled progress
Hey mate love your work! I just modded my step sons longshot and would love to have one of these.
Please put me down for and order of 1 sled and a catch.
I'm going away to Cairns as of the end of this week for a while so I don't need it until October. Do you think you could have this ready by then?
Thanks for your time
